The National Transport Authority Honors the Distinguished Clients Service Employee

Several employees from the department of customer service at NTA have been honored by His Excellency, Sheikh Nasser Al Qassimi, Director General of NTA, according to the honoring and rewards system adopted by the Authority. The employees proved a special dedication in performing their job and thus deserved to be honored by the rewards and motivation methodology launched by the department of human resources. The methodology aims to put the honoring process into immediate effect, motivate employees to show even more effort, and spread a trend of excellence and innovation at work.

Opening the Second Marine Meeting for Owners and Operators of Vessels in the United Arab Emirates

His Excellency Salem Ali Al Zaabi, Director General of NTA, has opened today the Second Marine Meeting for Owners and Operators of Vessels in the UAE, which is organized by the NTA at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works in Dubai.

At the beginning of his speech, Al Zaabi conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Bel Haif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of NTA.

Representing 90% of total transport volume across the world, the maritime sector is considered the most crucial of all transport sectors, Al Zaabi stated. It is the main impulse of world economy. Without a maritime transport system of vessels, ports and vessel crews, international trade cannot continue nor flourish. Vessels owners, operators and agents are the effective drive of such system, and therefore, maritime transport system integration is a key point here. This is where the National Transport Authority (NTA) plays a vital role as a maritime authority in the UAE today, by registering, licensing and regulating the maritime transport sector, including trade sector employees, whether to national vessels or visiting foreign vessels, which you are considered their agents in the UAE, His Excellency added.
