In consideration of our customers' requests and their time convenience, the National Transport Authority announces extending its working hours in Marine Registration and Licensing department from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm(continuous) in the Head Office in Abu Dhabi starting from 2nd of September 2012; and Dubai and Sharjah branches starting from 1st  of October 2012.

Service Description
Approval of Surveying companies to survey the non-convention vessels less than 150GT in compliance with National and International Maritime

Requirements and issue the following reports: 1) General Condition Survey Report for registration and navigation license purposes. 2) Safety Equipment and Safety Radio Attestation.

Process Description
  • Complete and print the online service request form
  • Attach the required documents
  • In person, visit the Registraion and Licensing dept
  • Submit the application
  • Pay fees
  • Receive the license, Certificate or card
Required Documents
  • Official Letter requesting for approval (New or Renewal)
  • Valid Commercial Trade License
  • Valid Membership Certificate
  • Resume, Passport and Residence visa copies and Copies of the Certificates of the surveyors involved in surveying the vessels.
  • Summary of the surveys conducted by each surveyor during the year (applicable for renewal process only).
  • Copy of the existing license issued by NTA
  • Certificates issued by Class.

  • AED 2000/- per year
